Moje pytanie brzmialo:
To what extent, if at all, are the YesSongs tracks overdubbed? Did Jon
re-record some of the vocals? Were any instruments augmented in the studio?
Also, which members of the band were most involved in selecting and
possibly mixing the tracks?

Dear Marek
Thank you for your most kind message. I will try to answer your questions,
but please forgive me - my memory is a bit hazy, and no notes were ever
taken down during the sessions.
- No, Jon did not overdub any vocals, but he may have repaired the occasional phrase for technical reasons. Some background vocals will probably have been re-recorded for the same reason. Faults do develop during the recording process, and if the 'take' being recorded is musically the one to put on a record, it is better to repair that one than use a different take.
- I seem to remember Rick repairing a mellotron track. The mellotron was very difficult to record live; it was always buzzing and breaking down.
- The band was fairly democratic, although Jon was the main driving force. All the band turned up for the mixing sessions.
- The best takes were usually self-evident. I don't remember there being any disputes in the studio about which ones to use.
Hope this is helpful, and glad you love the music!
Best wishes
Geoff
